Beim Odd-Pricing werden bewusst gebrochene Preise ausgezeichnet. Hiermit soll der Eindruck günstigerer Preise erzielt werden.
z.B. EUR 0,99
EUR 0,69
EUR 19,99
EUR 99,95
Bei einem Preis von 99 Cent greift der Kunde eher zu, EUR 1,01 würde ihn genauso bremsen wie ein EURO.
Inzwischen gibt es in den Niederlanden Bestrebungen, es den Finnen nachzumachen, die auf ihre 1-Cent und 2-Cent-Münzen verzichten und nur auf 5 Cent runden. Dies bedeutet in diesen Länden aber keineswegs die Abkehr vom Odd- Pricing.
